Scheduled

We will upgrade the Elasticsearch service from Elasticsearch 7.7 to OpenSearch 1.3, in place, using AWS's standard blue/green upgrade. With about 2.4 TB of data across 3 nodes, it is expected to take roughly 2–6 hours. To keep the upgrade fast and safe, we will stop Logstash before starting and restart it once the upgrade completes. Searches remain available throughout, and log ingestion resumes as soon as Logstash restarts. AWS's pre-upgrade check has already passed, the cluster is healthy with plenty of disk space, and OpenSearch 1.3 uses the same API as our current version, so we expect a successful upgrade with no changes needed for Logstash or customers. If anything fails, AWS automatically rolls back to the current version, and we will verify Logstash and customer access immediately afterwards.
